Mitchel Stevenson, graduate of Lynden High School, is a world class athlete who just qualified for the 2018 CrossFit Games, which is held in Madison, Wisconsin August 1-5.
The CrossFit Games is an annual competition where the top 40 men, women, and teams in the world will compete to earn the title "fittest on earth".
Did you catch that? Top 40 in the WORLD!
The games will be broadcasted on CBS sports and streamed live via the internet.
Mitch spends his days training and coaching CrossFit members at CrossFit i1uvit. This is like an intense full time job, but Mitch does not get paid.
Mitch and his Coach Kaylee Lovelady will need to foot the bill for travel, lodging, food, and entry fee to compete at the games. With the demands of the event, coach and athlete will have about 10 days of lodging needed from the time they check in to when they head home.

Mitch and his family would also appreciate your prayers as they plan this adventure. There is an estimated 60,000 people descending on Madison, WI for the CrossFit games. This has put a huge strain on the availability of accommodations and logistics in general. They are not the type of family to ask for help, so let's just make it happen!
